Health Star Rewards Program Briefing
Background:
The 2014 Member and Family Status Survey conducted by the Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association and the Department of Social Work and Administration of the University of Hong Kong clearly reflected that parents' greatest concern for caring for their children is their health and identified health issues as one of the main sources of stress for caregivers. In addition, the Study Report on the Ageing Trend of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities conducted by the Labor and Welfare Bureau also shows that Friends with Down Grades aged 30 to 40 may age earlier than the general population with intellectual disabilities. Therefore, Down's friends and caregivers themselves are the most enthusiastic about health!
The Association was pleased to receive a donation of 50 Huawei sports wristbands from Huawei and Mr. Liang Jianwen, Chairman of the Executive Committee, to support the launch of this project.
