The Association has been approved by the Social Welfare Department (Public Subscription Permit No. FD/R049/2026) to hold a Hong Kong Island Regional Flag Day on 24 October 2026 (Saturday). “We need your support to make it happen”. We are now calling for 3,000 volunteers aged 14 or above to support with our flag selling. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by parent or guardian. A certificate of appreciation will be rewarded to every volunteer for active participation.
All contributions will directly go to the development of our self-financed projects, such as sports and arts related services for our direct beneficiaries, those are people with Down Syndrome and other disabilities.
We sincerely appeal for your generous support in the above donation actions and encourage you to become our volunteers. We would deeply appreciate any kind of support that you offer. If you are interested in supporting our Flag Day, please kindly sign up on or before 31 July, 2026.

Flag Design Competition
In response to the Hong Kong Island Flag Day on 24 October 2026, we held a flag design competition themed “3-2-1 Smile”. By incorporating elements such as smiles and smiley faces, the competition aimed to spread joy and positive energy, while raising public awareness and support for people with Down Syndrome and other disabilities.
We would like to thank our judging panel, President Mrs. Victoria Tang-Owen, Committee Member Dr. Benjamin Fung, and Senior Artist Ms. Kumi Cheng for their time and expertise.
Thank you everyone for your participation, and congratulations to all the winners! The winning designs will be featured on the flags and golden flags for the 2026 Hong Kong Island Flag Day. We sincerely invite your generous donations and support.
