Introduction

Created with Fabric.js 3.5.0

Launched by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service in 2002, the Caring Company Scheme aims to foster strategic partnerships between the business and social services sectors to promote corporate social responsibility and create a more inclusive society. Through various cross-sector networking activities, the Scheme also enables corporations and social service organisations to deepen mutual understand, opening up more opportunities to develop cross-sector community projects that focus on the needs of the community.

To build an inclusive society by promoting strategic partnerships among business and social service partners, encouraging corporate social responsibility, and inspiring business and public sectors to care for the community, employees and the environment.

Objectives

  • To raise public awareness of corporate social responsibility practices demonstrated by the business and public sectors and their contribution to a caring community
  • To encourage the establishment of strategic partnership among public, business and charitable organisations
  • To recognise organisations that practice corporate social responsibility

The Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association (The HKDSA) has established partnerships with business organisations since the inception of the Caring Company Scheme. Each year, The HKDSA nominates our corporate partners for the Scheme in recognition of their commitment to corporate citizenship.

We welcome organisations to support our services through diverse forms of collaboration, includes:

  • Direct donations
  • Volunteer participation
  • Sponsorship or in-kind donations
  • Purchase of services and/or products from our social enterprise, Down’s Kwan Ngai Service Team
  • Provision of training, internships or job opportunities for our service users

The HKDSA invites business organisations to join the Caring Company Scheme and establish strategic partnership to care for society. Successfully nominated organisations will be awarded the Caring Company logo in recognition of their corporate citizenship. In addition, The HKDSA will promote these collaborations across the following platforms to enhance brand image and exposure.

  • The HKDSA website and social media pages
  • The HKDSA e-newsletter and annual report
