On 5 June, the Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association held at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) held the “Healthy and Active Ageing in the Healthy and Active Age” Project Effectiveness Evaluation and Book Launch Event, which was successfully concluded with warm applause from nearly 100 participants.<\/p>\n

Through this two-year campaign, the Association believes that by encouraging people with Down syndrome\/intellectual disabilities to participate in more physical and recreational activities and expand their social networks, they can help people with Down syndrome\/intellectual disabilities shape a healthy lifestyle, build self-confidence, enhance their independent living ability, and move towards active old age, so as to cope with the growing concern of the ageing of people with Down syndrome\/intellectual disability.<\/p>\n

At the Diligence Scheme Effectiveness Evaluation and Book Launch for People with Down Syndrome\/Intellectual Disabilities held on the same day, Dr. Law Ming-fai, Convenor of the Diligence Scheme Steering Committee, introduced the content of the Scheme, and Professor Wong Kam Ping announced the effectiveness evaluation of the Diligence Scheme. Mr. Leung Kin Man, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association, also put forward suggestions on countermeasures to the ageing of people with Down syndrome\/intellectual disabilities in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
