6 February 2021 (Saturday) New Territories Flag Day
Approved by the Social Welfare Department (Public Fundraising Licence No. FD/R051/2020), HKECIA will hold a flag-selling fundraising event in the New Territories on 6 February 2021 (Saturday). This year’s Flag Selling Day coincides with the eve of the Lunar New Year, so the association continues last year’s intention and sends blessings to everyone through the flag! The flag uses chromosome-shaped socks with various colors as a pattern, showing a diversity and inclusive beauty. The Association is also ready to sell New Year greetings and benefits, so that everyone can share the joy of the New Year with those around them this Lunar New Year. Members are also encouraged to participate in the “One Person, One Profit” campaign and donate a profit to support the fundraising activities for Flag Day.
In view of the current epidemic situation, in order to safeguard the safety of participating volunteers, staff and public health, the Association has decided to cancel the flag sale on streets in the New Territories on 6 February 2021 and switch to online flag sales. The information of the online flag sale will be announced later, please pay close attention and continue to support us with donations!
The proceeds from the flag sale will be used to sustain self-financing service development, including sports development programmes for people with Down syndrome and other disabilities, with a view to improving the quality of life for them and their families.

Appreciate differences and work together to build a diverse and inclusive community."
